Warhammer 40K

Not sure if theres much interest or not, but I figured since I’ve snapped the pics with my phone I might as well share them here! I’ve had a decent response from posting them on my Twitter feed, so heres a bit of the stuff I’ve been doing to relax.

I’ve been collecting 40K armies since about ’92…Space Marines were the first army I started with, and yes…even before they had a codex or became the GW poster boys…I played Ultramarines (haha…so hipster, right?). Close group of friends and I played on my kitchen floor with packing foam terrain and railroad trees scattered everywhere. Anyway, I was learning how to paint and all of my first squads of Marines were/are just TERRIBLE…but it stuck, and I’ve been painting off and on ever since.

Fast-forward about 20 years and I still update my army collections every now and then when a fancy new (and better-looking) set of plastics come out. I still haven’t played the actual game since the mid 90s, but I often pretend that I might :) It gives me a chance to bust out the paints and knock off the rust a bit…

Anyway, I’ve recently smashed my nose to the grindstone and have been documenting the latest works-in-progress with some pictures.  I might try to blog about it here to keep me going and on task.

That Dark Vengence Librarian is bad ass. How long does the whole process take?

Thanks John! Almost every model in the latest box set is freaking awesome. I think that one took probably 15 hours or so…spread out 2-3 hours at a time. He represents a more prominent part of the army, so I’ll spend a bit more time on him than a normal trooper.
