Oh guys. You had every opportunity to win with the mill deck. You just had to tap his creatures and hold up a counterspell until he played spider spawning into it. You knew it was in his yard and you knew you died as soon as it resolved! Arg.
Bone to Ash only counters a creature spell so that would not have worked.
Ah right… how quickly I forget past commons
PS – If you’re not a strategy site you should stop tagging your vids with “strategy” and “magic strategy”
I drafted mill a ton in DII, and knew during the drafting process that they’d have a rough time. What killed them was the low amount of 2 drops that are there to buy time. They probably made a few small errors, but that’s irrelevant because by the time they read this, they will be drafting AVR, since this episode mentioned both starting travelers and the release/pre-release (at least 2 weeks ago).
The second draft made this the best episode in a long time. Bob picking cards at random to spite others was hilarious, along with the fact that everyone seemed drunker than usual and spilling the beans on embarrassing stories. I really want to know what happened in 2002 tho….
