Draft Beer 19: So, Infect Eh?

The Draft Beer boys try out their first NMS draft. While that is usually a recipe for disaster, they’re swimming in the swiss pool. Is the level of competition finally low enough for them to stand a chance? Let’s see.

    Great show! And congratulations!
    Best investment ever! ;)

I would’ve played Golem Artisan. He ends games, even alone.
Putting a mountain under Clone Shell was seems insane (in a bad way, but good for entertainment). It probably doesn’t matter if Viridian Corrupter is exiled or on the bottom of your library….?
But you got there anyhow :)

I’m glad someone called us on the Clone Shell debacle. We were giving that Replica way too much credit. In retrospect, Golem Artisan should have been there in place of the Shell. The Shell trick just fits our combotastic personalities.

      Thanks for buying the round.

most epic epicest epi…whatever draft ever. I was lmao from round1… nice one guys nice one indeed

I take all the credit for the victory and little to no credit for the real entertainment. It was nice to have Nick’s perspective as a viewer in the mix. He gave George the respect that we never do and will now carry the “Let’s Clone Shell the Mountain” label with him.

So folks, which would you have taken Myr Propagator or Turn to Slag?

    • LeDouche says:

Turn to Slag. It kills many bomb creatures, and can be a 2 for 1. Myr Propagator is too slow and dies easily.

    • Buddhastyle says:

i too would take the turn to slag it leads to many blowouts. i’m still trying to figure out the volt charge on the splicer play. I think it makes more sense to let him double block putting a counter on each creature then play volt charge on replica. At the same its hard to critique when its seems like this is all for entertainment purposes. You guys rock and i’ll keep on watching no matter how many misplays i see. Keep up the good work fellas!!!!

      • JMatz says:

It is for entertainment, but I think round 3 proves that quality competition and the sweet taste of victory can add to that entertainment. I need to go back and watch the video, but I’m guessing you are right. I know the proliferate clause of our Volt Charge went essentially unused during the draft.

    • Robin (rwildernessr) says:

      Turn to Slag. Not close.

I am forever glad we ran out of Blithering Idiot when we did…everything was heading straight for the goblin warrens…
